6-Day Ramadan Tour
Ramadan is a special time for Muslims the world over. It is a time of fasting, reflection, prayer, and family. While traveling to Morocco during Ramadan can be limiting in some ways, due to the locals fasting during the day, but it can also be a wonderful time to learn more about local culture.
Ramadan 2025: February 28 - March 30
Day 1
CASABLANCA
Arrive in Casablanca and meet your driver outside the airport. Begin with a visit to the stunning Hassan II Mosque, the largest in the country and the only that non-Muslims can enter. After the tour, head to nearby Rick’s Cafe for lunch. Check into your hotel for time to relax and recover from your journey (or head out to explore the Habbous District). As the sun finally sets, join a local family for their Iftar, the breaking of their fast since sunup. Overnight in Casablanca.
Day 2
VOLUBILIS, MEKNES
Depart Casablanca and head to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Explore the site with a guide, then head to the Imperial City of Meknes. After lunch, explore the city with a private guide. in the evening, join another local family for Iftar. OPTIONAL: Join the locals who gather in the square in front of Bab Mansour late into the night. Ovenight in Meknes.
Day 3
FES, MEKNES
Take a day trip to Fes and tour the city with a private guide. See the Royal Palace, stroll through the mellah, visit a pottery co-op, and explore the ancient medina, including the famous Fes tanneries that are nearly 1,000 years old. Return to Meknes for dinner at your riad. Overnight in Meknes.
Day 4
RABAT, MARRAKECH
Make the journey from Meknes to Marrakech, stopping in Rabat for lunch and to visit the ancient Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and check into your riad in the medina. After dinner at your riad, join the locals who gather in Jemma el Fna until sohour, the final meal before sunrise. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 5
MARRAKECH
Tour Marrakech with a private guide. Explore the Bahia Palace and Secret Garden, visit the Koutoubia Mosque, and delve into the souks surrounding Jemaa el Fna. That evening, enjoy one last iftar with a local family. Overnight in Marrakech.
Day 6
CASABLANCA, DEPARTURE
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and travel north to Casablanca to catch your afternoon departure flight.
