AIRPLANE ESSENTIALS
Sleep Mask
Most flights originating from the US or Canada involve an overnight flight. We highly recommend a contoured sleep mask to block out light and help you get some sleep!
Passport/Vaccine Card Cover
In this new world of travel, you may be required to provide proof of vaccination. Keep your card safe and handy with this cover.
TRAVEL ESSENTIALS
Hand Sanitizer
Soap isn’t always readily available in small local restrooms, so having hand sanitizer is a must.
Hand Fan
The temperatures in Morocco can get pretty warm; it’s nice to be able to provide your own breeze as needed!
Quick Dry Towel
You’ll want a couple of these! Keep one for hotel use as washcloths are not common in Moroccan hotels. We also recommend carrying another in your day bag, as many local restrooms do not have towels/hand dryers.
Folding Umbrella
With many of Morocco’s sites being outdoors, a small umbrella can come in handy, especially if you are traveling in the spring or winter.
CLOTHING, SHOES, AND ACCESSORIES
Teva Sandals
I’m often asked for shoe recommendations for women. I LOVE Teva’s sandals! The straps help keep them securely on the foot, the soles provide comfort for walking through medinas, and they are stylish enough for multiple purposes. These are my go-to shoes in warm weather!
Teva Wedge Sandals
For people who prefer a wedge, this style of Teva sandals offer a little lift and provide more cushioning.
ELECTRONIC ITEMS
Power Converter
The standard Moroccan outlet is only a single, making it challenging to find enough outlets to charge multiple devices simultaneously. This power converter also converts the voltage for most US devices.
Outlet Adapters - 3-pack
These adapters are perfect when you just need to plug in a few things or are looking for something more compact. Each outlet adapter can accommodate up to two plugs. NOTE: This does not convert the voltage.
Small Power Bank
Small and lightweight, this portable power bank is perfect to have in your bag in case you start to run out of battery while on the go!
Voltage-smart Hairdryer
Many hotels provide hair dryers, although not all do. Often the ones provided are not always the best quality. This dryer can adapt to higher voltage with just an outlet adapter, making it safer to use.
Large Power Bank
This heavy-duty power bank is perfect for those with higher-volume charging needs! In addition to being able to charge the average cell phone about 15 times, it comes with different adapters that allow you to charge your laptop.
OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICATIONS
Pepto Bismol Chews
When traveling in Morocco, you might consume something that doesn’t quite agree with you. We recommend having these as a quick and easy option to take on the go.
Imodium AD
Always advisable for travel, this is especially important if you are not feeling well on the days you have long drives.
Emergen-C
Sleep can be in short supply when on a long, activity-packed trip. Give your immune system and energy levels a boost with vitamins instead of caffeine!
Ginger Chews
These ginger chews are a great solution for an unsettled stomach, whether its from food or travel.
Motion Sickness Patches
For a topical motion sickness remedy, these patches that stick behind your ears provide lasting relief on winding roads.
Refresh Eye Drops
The dry air on the airplane and in the desert can be very harsh - your eyes will thank you for some extra moisture!
