La Maison Bleue (built in 1915 by Sidi Mohammed El Abbadi a prolific judge + astrologer of his time) is a Moroccan retreat found in the ancient city of Fes. The riad provides not only a panoramic view of the Medina from it's rooftops, but also a secluded oasis of peace and privacy. The maison offers a dining room downstairs with five luxurious suites upstairs. These 2 properties own and operated by the El Abbadi family, the grandchildren of the original proprietor, are rich with history, tradition + vivid colors. You will find typical Fassi (Fes style) meets modern minimalistic design when you step into this oasis.
The Riad offers deluxe rooms, suites, and superior suites in three inter-connected riads. There is a swimming pool, hammam and spa, gym overlooking the city, and two bars/restaurants for your enjoyment and relaxation. If you wish to learn how to make traditional Moroccan dishes, they also offer a cooking class where you explore the market for local ingredients with Chef Naima before heading to the kitchen to learn how to make tagines, briwats, salads, tea, and more.
The Maison is steepend in the personal history of the owners - it is the family home of their grandparents, and much of the antique furniture still fills the rooms. With only foru rich suites overlooking the central courtyard, you will find yourself feeling quite at home with the dilligent attention of the staff.
